Baby & Me
CMEE is proud to announce “Baby & Me,” a program designed specifically for parents of infants beginning Tuesday, December 3. Every Tuesday (when the Museum is closed to the public), moms, dads, and caregivers can have the opportunity to meet other parents with children the same age. During the sessions, led by CMEE Educator Leah Oppeheimer, they can hear the latest news about early childhood parenting, discuss developmental milestones, sing to their babies and participate in a variety of playful activities. For parents and their children age 2 to 16 months. FREE for members and $10 for non-members.

After School Art
In a choice-based art room the students will explore ideas and interests in the art media of their choice. Each class begins with a formal presentation of a new medium and a short lesson. Activities will include wood sculpture, mural paintings, creating dioramas, textile arts, beading/jewelry making, architecture, printing, watercolor painting, and collage.
Hilary Helfant, previously a professional, exhibiting artist in NYC, has been teaching art on the east end for over 15 years. Ms. Helfant has twice been a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome, and has had fellowships to live and work in Japan, Germany, India, Virginia, and California. Music Together by the Dunes

Children can visit the museum after hours, in their pajamas, play in the exhibits and eat pizza for dinner. They can also enjoy Vanessa Geppert’s reading of TheGingerbread Cowboy, by Janet Squires. CMEE Play – Snow Globe
During Tricia Corigliano’s reading of Ladybug Girl and the Big Snow, by David Soman and Jacky Davis, children may get inspired to create a winter wonderland. Following the story, they can design and assemble their own snow globe with a mason-jar and miniature trees and animals. This workshop is ideal for children ages 2 –6 years and adult assistance is required. Members $12, Non-Members $24 (includes admission).
